does anyone know about this rumor????
I've heard that sony is bringing out a new digital camera that has 24 fps solid images....similar to the xl1's frame movie mode.?? this is North American I'm referring to.....thanx in advance..

I dunno but I read about a new digital camera that uses actual film stock.
Anyone know about that?

The video camera you speak of will have 24fps mode. I am not sure which model I don't keep up on video since it changes every 3 seconds. The 24fps mode will probably be a benefit since in the USA--the onset of HDTV is closing in fast. It is only two years away for the manditory simulcasting to begin. HDTV has both a 24fps Progressive and a 24fps Interlace feature. This is designed to show off the beauty of film at home and get rid of that horrid problem of the 3:2 pulldown we have. I am not sure but you may have problems watching that mode on a nonHDTV monitor. Good Luck

I think it was Sony who developed the 'digital film' cameras they're using on Episode II --- obviously not a consumer format.
I think the only reason to see the new Star Wars films are to see technical advances only :-(
